How do I take a pool water sample for testing?
Fill a clean container with about 500ml of water taken from elbow depth, away from the skimmer and return jets. Pop the lid on and bring it straight to the shop, the fresher the sample, the more accurate the result.
You don't need an appointment. Just drop in during opening hours and we'll test it while you wait.
What does a water test actually check?
A proper test looks at the key levels that keep your pool safe and comfortable: chlorine or sanitiser, pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness and stabiliser. When these are out of balance, you get problems, cloudy water, algae, irritated skin and eyes, or damage to surfaces and equipment.
We read all of it, explain what it means in plain English, and give you a simple plan to fix anything that's off.
Is the water testing really free?
Yes, in-store water testing is genuinely free, no catch. We're happy to help whether you're a regular or you've never set foot in the shop before.
